Pakistan Media's Shameless Act

On daily basis we just watch television channels and find the advertising campaigns during the program. Well, it's bearable when we just see those advertisements during the show. We also find it not that bad when we just move either via car, cycle, or train and see the areas painted by the advertising agencies. As by that thing, they just play with our mind and make us to buy their products. But, what if they will start playing with our emotions? What if they will start playing videos of your close one's funeral? And, what if they will start asking you that how are you feeling, just after the news of the death of your close-one?

I was just moving through the airport and suddenly saw sparking flashes at airport, it was like watching stars in the day light. I thought there must be some celebrity, political person or someone really special gonna come out of airport. But I was just stunned when I just saw a very unexpected thing that a coffin was coming out of it with so many cries. And our media persons were trying to capture those emotions on the faces, they were fighting like dogs to capture the best teared eye shot. No one was giving it a second thought that what exactly they were feeling at that time.

It went miserable when some television guy went to a girl who were in deep grief of her brother's death and asked her how are you feeling? what do you want to say about this plane crash?  Well, everyone heard about the plane crash of April 20th, 2012 at Chaklala base camp, of a Pakistan local flight named as Bhooja Air. As it's impossible to miss this news because media presented that as an entertainment with so many advertisements,  I am not getting into the stuff that how the plane got crashed and who were responsible behind that? As I am not going to launch an inquiry commission for the responsible person, neither it's my duty nor I am going to take it as a citizen's responsibility.

But, what I have noticed after that crash is a juggling of words on television. Every second a new way to market the news and to show the site on television that they are going to give us exclusive pictures of the crash site. My point is, it's ok to keep everyone informed and it's a nice role played by media. But, what was the point behind taking interviews, when they were in deep grief of the great loss they had. Does anyone every try to think about the grief they have faced, or any media person ever tried to put themselves in their shoes to analyse the feelings. Everyone will get a big 'No' when they will ask anyone of them who were reporting exclusive reports.

I think they forgot to market their product labels on shroud of the deceased, as that's the only thing left. Any way I tried to request them but obviously this is not the land to make request. Either you have enough power to simply go and stop them or just to face all such gigs by them. But, I think here I can simply condemn that act by the media and simply ask Pakistani media to stop selling the grief.
